Bright White Smiles was created by myself and my business partner, very much a volume
business with high dependency on marketing; this business has three clinics in Bath, London and Bristol and continues to grow steadily. Turnover in the first year was £190k with a net profit of 25%. The business was sold as part of an MBO, led by my clinic manager Donna Brown.
Bespoke Joinery Company.
Box Hill Joinery went in to liquidation in 2010 and required my help to develop a new business plan and strategy; the business now called Acorn Joinery made record turnover and profits in its first year and is on target to better that in its second financial year. The board are now in discussion about moving premises furthering the volume of business that can be produced. Turnover £360k with an 11% net profit.
High end hair salon. Claire Browns
Hair Salon went through a major rebranding exercise, I developed a marketing plan that was in line
with the business goals, and the salon is now one of the best known in Bath. I also assist with the finance, creating budgets and forecasting to enable correct spend in the right areas, also assisted with staff recruitment and introduced the ‘finding excellence’ scheme which allowed hairdressers to be assessed at Claire Browns Salon for a permanent position.
